Gerard is a Part-Qualified Patent Attorney in the Intellectual Property team.
He supports clients with patent drafting, filing, and prosecution, as well as conducting patentability searches and freedom-to-operate analysis. His technical experience spans the automotive industry and next-generation nicotine delivery technologies, including e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn systems.
Gerard previously worked as a Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office. He holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering and a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. He is a student member of both the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and the European Patent Institute.
