Helen, who speaks both English and Greek, is a Partner in the Family team.

She has a background of advocacy having completed the Bar Vocation Course and cross qualified as a solicitor in 2010.

 Helen specialises in all aspects of divorce and separation, including those cases with an international element. She has experience of matrimonial disputes when the assets are modest as well as those of high net worth with complex business and Trust structures. She was involved extensively in the reported case of Ramadani v Ramadani  [2015] EWCA Civ 1138 in which case the assets were located worldwide.

Helen also has extensive experience in dealing with high end pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements, often involving other jurisdictions including the US and France. Helen also advises on couples who are not married and are separating including separation agreements and those under the Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.  She also deals with parents who have issues with their child arrangements and advises on all aspects including internal and external relocation cases, parental responsibility disputes and abductions both Hague and non Hague countries.

A few examples of Helen’s cases are detailed below:

  • Acting for a husband in a jurisdiction battle between Greece and the UK and potential freezing application made by the wife. The husband was successful in securing the jurisdiction of Greece to hear the divorce.
  • Acting for a mother who had to flee from Egypt with her child without the father’s permission. The application opposing the return of the child to Egypt was successful.
  • Acted for father in an abduction by the mother to Pakistan Application to return the child was successful and child was located and reunited with father.
  • Acting for wife divorce. Jurisdiction battle with Dubai which was won by the wife. Financial remedy proceedings progressed in England.
  • Acting for the wife in divorce proceedings. Assets in the region of 30million. The matter started as a jurisdiction battle between England and Dubai.
  • Acting for Wife. Key assets in France. Wife a survivor of the infected blood scandal. Jurisdiction battle and proceedings progressed in England. Wife retained her compensation monies and the lions share of marital acquest.

In her spare time she enjoys time with her family, travel and the occasional golf day.
