She assists both private and business clients with planning for the future through succession planning, the preparation of wills, the preparation and registration of lasting powers of attorney and the establishment and administration of trusts. Her work also includes dealing with probate and estate administration, registration of enduring powers of attorney and Court of Protections applications.

Recent examples of how Jessica has supported clients include:

  • Successfully appealing a decision not to award NHS CHC funding, thereby saving thousands of pounds in care fees
  • Varying the terms of a deceased’s will to prevent a residential property being transferred into a discretionary trust and ensuring that the estate then benefits from £1 million tax exemption
  • Obtaining medical evidence that and an elderly client who suffered from Dementia had the appropriate mental capacity to amend their will and understood the implications of doing so
