Laura is a Partner in the Private Client team.
She specialises in Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the administration of estates and trusts. She regularly advises high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and landowners on estate matters.
Laura has extensive experience handling complex estate administrations and trusts. Her recent work includes:
- Assisting an elderly family member of a A-list celebrity in the preparation of a Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney for Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare
- Leading the administration of a substantial complex estate which qualified for Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief and considering Lifetime gifts made by the deceased
- Lead fee-earner supporting in a multi-million-pound estate administration left to a charity created by the deceased. The deceased had been convicted of serious historical sexual offences. The matter required an application to the High Court for distribution of the estate to potential victims
- Creating Lifetime Discretionary Trusts holding company shares for a wealthy family as a tax planning vehicle to benefit beneficiaries in the future
Laura also has a particular interest in supporting elderly and vulnerable clients. She is a Full Member of STEP and an Accredited Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly), a professional community dedicated to assisting older and vulnerable clients.
