Lyndsey is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team.
She specialises in complex commercial and corporate disputes in the UK and internationally, advising on risk management, mitigating the impact of litigation, and alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration, adjudication and mediation.
Her expertise includes a range of company and contractual matters, with a particular focus on fraud and asset recovery, misfeasance and misconduct claims, outsourcing and IT disputes and company and shareholder disputes.
She is experienced in obtaining injunctions to preserve or trace assets, for ongoing breaches of contract and for breach of restrictive covenants and misuse of confidential information, including search and seize orders, freezing orders and evidence preservation and disclosure orders, including doorstep imaging orders. Lyndsey has also acted as a Supervising Solicitor on execution of such orders.
Lyndsey works with in-house legal teams of large and mid-market corporates, across a variety of sectors from aviation to construction.
Recent examples of how Lyndsey has supported clients include:
- achieving a 30 per cent legal cost saving by developing a collaborative delivery model with a magic circle firm and alternative legal services provider on a £1 billion claim against a FTSE 100 company;
- recovering confidential information held in electronic devices and obtaining damages for misuse and for breach of restrictive covenant through urgent injunctive relief for a large tour operator;
- recovering significant sums from a rogue developer on behalf of an international university by obtaining a worldwide asset freezing order; and
- recovering substantial rent arrears owed under the lease for an aircraft engine by securing an injunction to detain the aircraft in the jurisdiction.
