Natalie is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.

She is based in Carlisle and a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). Having qualified as a solicitor in 2010, she specialises in complex contentious probate matters.

She advises on disputes concerning the validity of wills, including challenges based on lack of testamentary capacity, undue influence, forgery or fraud, and issues relating to improper execution. She also acts on claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, particularly where individuals believe they have not been adequately provided for.

Natalie has strong insight into rural and agricultural issues and understands the practical and commercial realities facing farming clients. With a particular focus on agricultural estates, Natalie regularly advises clients in relation to disputes involving farming businesses. In addition to contentious probate work, she assists clients with a broad range of disputes including commercial and partnership disagreements, professional negligence claims, and matters arising under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, particularly in relation to co-ownership of property.

Natalie’s case experience includes acting in a complex estate involving multiple wills, issues of will validity, a company structure, and a substantial property portfolio. She has also advised clients following the death of a partner in a farming partnership, assisting in resolving disputes concerning property ownership, boundary issues, partnership assets, and will validity. Additionally, she has acted in a matter concerning the validity of a handwritten will and the subsequent administration of the estate following a court declaration, representing the interests of a vulnerable beneficiary.
