Rachel is a Senior Associate in the Asset Management team.
Experienced in the real estate aspects of corporate business transactions, providing support with company sales and acquisitions, demergers, solvent restructures and refinancing arrangements. Rachel deals with property transfers, the grant and assignment of leases, associated landlord and tenant work and secured property finance.
In addition, Rachel advises on the structuring of real estate transactions to ensure maximum tax efficiency in regard to stamp duty land tax, funders of large scale development projects or multiple site acquisitions, ensuring corporate mortgages are adequately secured.
Clients include property owners and occupiers, high street banks, private equity investors and specialist finance providers.
Recent examples of how Rachel has supported clients include:
- completing the acquisition of 18 branches of Lloyds Pharmacy on behalf of Gorgemead, a member of the retail dispensing chemist group Cohens;
- finalising a multi-million pound refinancing deal on behalf of APS Salads, the UK’s leading supplier of tomatoes and other produce to high street food retailers; and
- acquiring a vacant piece of land for BHR Investments on which a new doctor’s surgery will be constructed and a lease granted for an in-house pharmacy.
