Rosemary is a Partner in the Family team.

Rosemary has over 20 years of experience in family law and specialises in assisting clients from a variety of backgrounds based throughout the UK and abroad. Rosemary has extensive experience in dealing with financial provision on the breakdown of a relationship involving those with modest assets to those involving businesses and farming assets.

Additionally, Rosemary negotiates and drafts pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements for those who are intending to, or have married, as well as financial agreements between unmarried couples prior to co-habitation.

She is frequently instructed by owners and directors of SME’s and is able to work with our corporate, commercial, tax and real estate teams to make sure all outcomes are focused on corporate efficiency and personal requirements, providing a well-rounded service.

Whilst applying a common sense and robust approach, Rosemary is keenly aware of the sensitive nature of disputes arising from personal relationships and wherever possible will look for a negotiated settlement when this is in the best interests of the client. Rosemary understands the distress often felt by parties when they are dealing with the breakdown of a relationship and works hard to take the pressure off each client providing sensible and clear advice in a sensitive manner.

Rosemary is keen to ensure that both parties to a relationship breakdown have access to competent legal advice and is experienced in advising the financially weaker party in relation to securing interim, and ongoing maintenance, as well as Legal Services Payments orders to ensure that their legal costs are met by the financially stronger party.
