Shelley is an Associate and collaborative lawyer in the Family team.

She provides expert legal advice and support with particular emphasis on assisting clients with the consequences of relationship breakdown. Her services include dealing with divorce, financial and property issues for married and unmarried couples, and disputes regarding children matters. She also advises on relationship agreements including pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Shelley particularly enjoys helping people move into the next chapter in their lives so they can begin to plan for the future. She is a very good listener, which is an integral part of her role as a family law solicitor. She combines knowledge of the law with a friendly, efficient, and straightforward approach to provide high quality legal advice and representation and achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

As a member of Resolution, Shelley is committed to resolving disputes constructively and sensibly, always focusing on what is best for the family and offering practical solutions. She is a qualified collaborative lawyer and is the Chair of the Collaborative Lawyers Colchester group.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2007, Shelley has worked exclusively in family and divorce law in London and Colchester.

Shelley is the Fixtures Secretary for the Bergholt Heath Youth Football Club, responsible for managing the Colchester and District Youth Football League and Essex County Girls League fixtures and cup competitions for 19 teams, ranging from Under 7's through to Under 14's.

From 2019 to 2023, Shelley was a Governor of Heathlands C of E Primary School in West Bergholt, Colchester where she sat on the Curriculum and Pupil Matters Committee. Whilst she is no longer a Governor, Shelley continues to have an active interest in the school and the local community.
