Stefanie is an Associate in the Asset Management and Development teams.

She acts for landowners, commercial landlords and developers and has extensive experience working with housing associations.

Her expertise includes advising on the strategic aspects of real estate asset management, appraising sites for development potential, investigating and rectifying issues of title, supporting on ‘golden brick’ contracts and the negotiation or variation of section 106 agreements. She has project managed and coordinated the stock transfer of hundreds of units, transferring or consolidating housing stock to permit more efficient management, carried out due diligence on sales and purchases or refinancing to release equity to fund new projects.

In addition, she works on commercial leases, including negotiation, renewals or variations, and contracts with third parties for joint venture development or service arrangements, such as for supported living accommodation.

Recent examples of how Stefanie has supported clients include:

  • project managing the smooth transfer of over 450 units on behalf of a housing association, including liaising with employment and data protection lawyers to meet a strict deadline;
  • renegotiating improved lease terms for the landlord of a number of retail units;
  • reviewing leases after the Grenfell tragedy and advising landlords on their repairing obligations and improving precedents for future leases; and
  • identifying sites with optimal development potential for a landowner who had built up a portfolio of many small sites, and advising on development options.
