Steven is a Senior Associate in the Commercial team.

Steven acts for private and public companies, from owner-managed start-ups to established multinationals across multiple industry sectors including retail, leisure and entertainment.

He is an experienced commercial lawyer, advising on, negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial agreements including bespoke supply contracts, venue hire agreements, collaboration agreements and strategic alliances, intra-group services agreements, agency and distribution agreements, warehousing and logistics agreements and property management agreements. Steven is also experienced in leading due diligence teams on the commercial, contractual and intellectual property rights aspects of business acquisitions.

Steven specialises in providing pragmatic and commercial advice in relation to various commercial arrangements and in particular, enjoys working closely with clients to fully understand their business needs, appetite for risk and future plans. Steven has undertaken a number of client secondments and is currently involved with supporting the in-house legal teams of a number of well-known household names with their day-to-day commercial contracts.

Recent examples of how Steven has supported clients include:

  • preparing and advising on a suite of e-commerce documents for one of the UK’s fastest growing variety retailers;
  • supporting a fleet outsourcing company with the preparation of their template customer contracts;
  • advising an outsourced cleaning company on its high-value supply contract with a large and well-known retail brand;
  • supporting a homeware retail client with the preparation of their gift card and e-gift card terms and conditions;
  • supporting a specialist and industry leading distributor of fuel with legal reviews of their key strategic supplier contracts and negotiating certain terms with suppliers.
