Suryen is a Senior Associate in the Construction team.

Recognised by The Legal 500 as a Leading Associate, Suryen brings extensive experience in construction law with a strong track record in dispute resolution and adjudication. He acts for main contractors, subcontractors, employers, developers, construction professionals, and public bodies across a wide range of complex construction and engineering projects.

He has represented parties in more than 200 adjudications—including several that have been reported at enforcement stage—and advises on all aspects of construction disputes, from payment and final account issues to defects, delays, and professional negligence. His knowledge spans all major forms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC, ICE, and FIDIC.

Suryen is a certified and accredited Construction Adjudicator and Arbitrator, sitting on multiple UK and international panels. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, holds Higher Rights of Audience (Civil), and is also a practising barrister in Mauritius. He is active in the Society of Construction Law, the Adjudication Society, and serves on the committee of the King's College Construction Law Association.
