Tori is skilled and experienced in understanding the practical and commercial issues faced by in-house Counsel having previously acted as Commercial Counsel for a government owned organisation and Head of Legal and Privacy for a group of companies in the automotive remarketing sector. She has also acted more recently as virtual data privacy Counsel for a leading international outsourcing service provider.
Experienced in advising clients on data protection and privacy compliance, she has led comprehensive GDPR/UK GDPR assessments and gap analyses, recommended pragmatic solutions and assisted clients with implementing governance frameworks to manage privacy risks. She has also advised on various aspects of GDPR/UK GDPR compliance, including privacy notices, legitimate interests assessments, records of processing activities, data protection impact assessments, data sharing and transfer arrangements and drafting compliant policies and procedures.

- Advising a leading application security services provider on data protection and privacy compliance including carrying out a comprehensive GDPR assessment and assisting the client with its implementation of the recommendations, including producing documents, policies and procedures complaint with data protection requirements.
- Advising leading organisations in the leisure airline and holiday sector on managing data privacy and legal risks, including such matters as the placement and operation of CCTV, data sharing arrangements and transparency.
- Assisting a leading international financial services firm with a large scale review of high risk processing activities including producing data protection impact assessments to assess the risks and advise on remediation actions.
