Zoe is a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team.
Zoe advises clients in relation to general commercial litigation matters and has experience across a range of general breach of contract claims, cease and desist actions, and defamation. She has specialist expertise in construction litigation and works with the construction team across the business to support on a wide range of construction disputes and adjudications.
Zoe’s clients include mid to large corporate companies, as well as private individuals.
Recent examples of how Zoe has supported clients include:
- assisting on two large disclosure exercises for a large corporate client in the telecoms industry, working alongside colleagues across the business to review and co-ordinate evidentiary documents. One of the disputes settled, whilst the other resulted in a positive result at trial;
- assisting on multiple adjudications with construction colleagues across the business, both in respect of being the referring and the responding party. Zoe assisted with the drafting of submissions, witness statements and collation of supporting evidence to achieve the best results for clients, as well as assisting after the result in seeking payment from the opposition;
- working on general breach of contract claims in respect of construction disputes;
- working on and advising on claims with a focus on the quality of goods and services provided;
- assisting assisting clients in seeking repayment of debts, whether through Statutory Demands or without prejudice discussions;
- advising on and settling several general commercial litigation breach of contract claims, many of which resulted in negotiations with the other side to reach settlement in the most commercially beneficial way for the client;
- preparing and sending cease and desist letters in instances where a client’s intellectual property rights had been infringed, including instigating the change of signage at high street stores; and
- advising
- clients in respect of defamatory statements appearing online.
