Knights has enhanced its dispute resolution offering in Beaconsfield with the appointment of Matthew Whipp as a Partner.

Matthew is an experienced litigation and dispute resolution solicitor, with a particular focus on private wealth disputes, including contentious trust and probate matters. Since qualifying in England and Wales in 2017, he has built a strong track record across both City and regional law firms, combining technical expertise with a commercially focused approach to client advice.

Originally qualifying into corporate law, Matthew transitioned into litigation early in his career and has since developed extensive experience advising a broad range of clients, from PLCs and SMEs to private individuals.

He regularly acts on complex, high‑value and sensitive disputes, often with cross‑border elements. His expertise includes Inheritance Act 1975 claims, trust and estate administration disputes, proprietary estoppel claims, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and early neutral evaluations.

Matthew’s appointment further strengthens Knights’ growing Dispute Resolution team and reflects our continued investment in specialist expertise to meet increasing demand across the private wealth sector.

“It’s an extremely exciting time to have joined Knights, who are the standout regional professional services firm nationally.”
