Knights’ Corporate team has assisted with the management buy-out of CPIT; the IT arm of accountancy firm Cooper Parry.

CPIT has been acquired by Brett and Vicky Critchley, who first acquired half of the business in 2019. The seven-member ownership team will remain in place along with almost 90 employees.

The business will now be known as Bam Boom Cloud Limited. As a leading Microsoft partner, it has ambitions to expand across the UK, US and Canada, assisting clients with their IT systems and project work.

Gavin White, lead adviser for Knights commented: “Following the part-MBO in 2019, we are delighted to see the full acquisition cross the line and for Bam Boom Cloud to embark on the next stage of its journey. Our team has provided a holistic service to Brett and Vicky over the last two years, from shaping and agreeing the deal to supporting them with funding options, backed by the knowledge of our colleague Rachel Pringle who spent many years in the banking sector.

Brett Critchley, Executive Chairman said: “I would like to thank the team at Knights for everything they did to enable our MBO. They were a huge support right from the initial stage two years ago. We are now about to embark on our next chapter where strategic growth is our focus and Knights will be with us every step of the way.”
