Bethan is a Senior Associate in the Family team.
Bethan advises clients in all areas of family law which includes complex divorce and associated financial disputes, private children matters, cohabitation and nuptial contracts.
Her work includes helping clients understand their responsibilities around disclosure, navigating through the options and providing clarity on the outcomes that can best achieve their objectives. She is skilled in guiding parents through litigation relating to their children in a calm and practical manner and is well rehearsed at understanding the emotional strain that a relationship breakdown can bring.
Bethan’s clients include high net worth individuals, directors, professionals and individuals.
She is also a collaborative lawyer.
Recent examples of how Bethan has supported clients include:
- securing a settlement of circa 70% of matrimonial capital assets following a three-day final hearing in a high conflict case;
- assisting and advising a client through the arbitration process involving assets in the region of £2-3m and cross-jurisdictional issues;
- advising in a highly emotive children matter, making an emergency application to Court following the removal of a child from the matrimonial home by the mother and immediate contact with the father; and
- working alongside a client through the mediation process to agree the division of assets including providing advice on the risks and benefits of the options under discussion.
