Charlotte is a Senior Associate in the Employment team.

She specialises in advising on all aspects of employment law and HR related issues including the defence of complex Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance matters, protected conversations, poor performance and absence management, and is a Member at Large of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Charlotte also regularly supports our Corporate team on all employee-related aspects of acquisitions and transfers.

Her clients include a wide range of owner-managed SMEs and International businesses across the commercial, engineering and industrial sectors including local, national and global manufacturers and architects. She also acts for large well-known retailers and a heritage museum.

Charlotte also leads on data protection issues relating to employees and dealing with employees who seek to utilise data subject access requests as part of any employment dispute.

Charlotte also has particular expertise in assisting organisations who operate in the financial service sector and is experienced in FCA code of conduct issues.

Recent examples of how Charlotte has supported clients include:

  • successfully defending a complicated unfair dismissal, sex, sexual orientation and disability discrimination claim on behalf of a global manufacturer of professional foodservice equipment; 
  • supporting an international company on a complex cross border TUPE transfer involving three jurisdictions;
  • advising on a complex data subject access request and exit of an SMF of an international bank; and
  • providing bespoke onsite training to the Board of an international bank in respect of equality and diversity issues, in particular avoiding specific risks in the Financial Sector.
