Chloe is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.
Chloe specialises in dispute prevention and commercial litigation. She is experienced in dealing with breach of contract claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, product liability claims, professional negligence and issues concerning Intellectual Property. Chloe has also advised on a number of competition law matters. Chloe operates within a number of sectors including manufacturing, retail and recycling.
Chloe’s approach often results in negotiated settlements and she regularly helps clients achieve their objectives through her commercial approach to dispute resolution using court and arbitration proceedings and all types of alternative dispute resolution. Chloe always focuses on achieving the best outcome for her clients which range from individuals to large overseas corporates.
Examples of how Chloe has supported clients include:
- Acting for a BVI incorporated company in their defence to a £29m claim brought against it by the liquidators of an insolvent partnership. The dispute concerned the collapse and later insolvency of a Business Premises Renovation Allowance scheme and allegations of unlawful means conspiracy;
- Acting for the manufacturer of plumbing components in relation to a c£30 million-pound product liability claim concerning an NHS building.
- Acting for the manufacturer of printing consumables following the sale of the business and the receipt of claims from previous shareholders.
- Acting for a UAE client in relation to a breach of contract regarding a student accommodation development in the UK.
- Acting for a client in relation to a number of competition law issues including cartel and whistleblowing concerns.
- Acting for a UK based steel manufacturer in pursuing a claim for the recovery of over a million pounds against four utility companies.
- Acting for a large UK based property developer in relation to their failure to complete a number of projects on time including dealing with claims for breach of contract from the buyers of the property.
