David is a Partner in the Asset Management and Business Parks teams.
Experienced across the commercial property spectrum, David advises a wide range of clients on commercial property acquisitions and disposals, property management, secured lending and development. He has particular expertise in commercial leases and associated matters including licences, assignments, subletting, variations, renewals, breaks and surrenders.
David also has significant experience in property finance, refinancing and corporate support, as well as advising property investors on portfolio acquisitions and disposals, through pension vehicles or individually.
David’s clients include sole traders, directors and companies, partners and partnerships, banks, pension funds, commercial developers, property investors and commercial landlords.
Recent examples of how David has supported his clients include:
- Acting for a corporate owner in the £5m refinancing of an industrial estate in Devon;
- Acting for a pension fund in the complex acquisition of a large unit for a SSAS pension scheme, including bank funding secured against another large commercial property;
- Acting on the sale of a development site with the benefit of planning for the construction of flats, with a build obligation and an option for the seller to purchase the penthouse flat.
