Residential Property Business Executive

Deborah is the Residential Property Services Executive within our Residential Property Team covering the team nationally.

Having worked in residential property for almost 20 years as a Residential Property Manager for national and independent agencies before moving over to Residential Conveyancing a few years ago, allows Deborah to effectively communicate her knowledge and demonstrated experience to help colleagues and clients alike. She understands both the Scottish and English/Welsh home moving process.

Deborah’s expertise lies within client service with a focus on business generation and conversion. She manages the software facility the firm uses to provide clients with comprehensive fee calculations. Deborah is an initial contact for returning and new clients she will help them with their freehold and leasehold sale, purchase, auction, remortgage, and transfer of equity matters. Deborah keeps our business introducer contracts up to date and ensures the firm is compliant in dealing with parties who refer clients to the firm.

Deborah’s role within the firm also includes managing the lender panels, making sure our firm is approved to act on behalf of banks and building societies for mortgage loan transactions including new applications and annual lender reviews.

Working directly with our Residential Property Client Services Director and our SRO for the compliance aspect of applying for and maintaining our CQS accreditation which includes making sure our policies and procedures are up to date and being followed to mitigate risk and PI claims.

Deborah ensures all staff undertaking residential property work in the firm have completed their Knights CQS training, she completes their DBS checks and keeps the Law Society up to date with new colleagues and seat changes

Examples how Deborah has supported clients include:

Initial contact and introduction to the firm explaining the process and costs of conveyancing matters particularly to first time buyers.

Identifying client needs for colleagues in other teams to be able to help such as private client, tax and litigation.

Empathetically helping clients who have to sell their properties to due to a change of circumstances such as a family death or divorce.
