Elizabeth is a Partner in the Property Litigation team.

Dealing with all types of property dispute resolution, Elizabeth acts for private clients in disputes over family property, and for investors, developers, landlords and tenants in commercial property disputes relating to break notices, forfeiture, insolvent and defaulting tenants, rent arrears, eviction of squatters, and dilapidations.

Experienced in land disputes involving adverse possession, trespass and boundaries, prescriptive and proprietary rights issues such as drainage and access. She acts for private individuals and corporate clients in County Court and High Court matters as well as the First-tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).

Recent examples of how Elizabeth has supported clients include:

  • negotiating a cost effective settlement between siblings in a dispute over the sale of an inherited family home;
  • assisting householders on a new development to obtain ownership of a courtyard and access rights when the developer company which owned the land was dissolved; and
  • ensuring a landowner could confirm adverse possession of a parcel of land by demonstrating over fifty years' continuous occupation and use.
