Harry Johnson is an Associate in the Real Estate team.

He has notable experience across the full spectrum the real estate lifecycle, as well as real estate finance and the real estate aspects of corporate transactions. His particular expertise relates to regeneration, investment, and bridging finance (often with the involvement of multiple lenders).

Typically Harry will act for developers and landlords in the retail, office and industrial sectors, but he also has worked on significant deals for occupiers and lenders, and in leisure and serviced accommodation.

Examples of how Harry has supported clients include:

  • Acting for a developer in relation to the sale of a prominent city centre building to a provider of serviced accommodation, with development agreement for the conversion of the upper floors for such use, and leaseback of the ground floor and basement for retail use and underlease of such space to a leading retailer.
  • Acting for a developer in relation to the purchase with secured finance of four central high street stores in Harrogate with planning approval for the conversion of the upper floors to five apartments.
  • Acting for a developer in relation to the purchase with senior and mezzanine finance of a central Leeds office building and subsequent lettings and refinance following refurbishment.
  • Acting for a developer in relation to the purchase from administrators with secured finance of an office in Harrogate for conversion to serviced accommodation and subsequent dual representation refinance.
  • Acting for the shareholders in relation to the real estate aspects of the £21m share sale of a lottery management company.
  • Acting for a global brand in relation to their lease of a new warehouse facility.
