A real estate lawyer with extensive experience in all types of commercial property, with a particular specialism in development and regeneration projects.
Jane leads on a variety of large and or complex projects for housing association and local government clients involving property development, asset management and asset re-structuring. In addition, Jane supports clients with property joint ventures and partnering with experience in the development of new property funding models, including a number of ‘firsts’ for the housing sector.
Recent examples of how Jane has supported clients include:
- negotiating a first in sector refinancing of tenanted stock by lease and leaseback to a pension fund;
- advising a registered provider with long leases of apartment blocks on options for restructuring their ownership and extending the leases and entering into a profit sharing arrangement; and
- supporting a registered provider to set up a joint venture vehicle with a private sector developer for investing in a large mixed housing and commercial development with c.3,500 units of houses, retail and industrial units.
