Megan is a Solicitor in the Asset Management Team.
Megan advises companies, individuals, SIPPs, commercial landlords, tenants and investors on a wide range of commercial property transactions including preparation and negotiation of commercial leases, licences, lease renewals, surrenders and variations and high value freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals across a variety of commercial property sectors, including office, retail, healthcare, hospitality and industrial.
Megan also advises on the property aspects of corporate transactions such as business sales and purchases, with the majority of her client’s being dentists and pharmacists.
Recent examples of how Megan has supported her clients include:
- Enabling a client to sell multiple pharmacies (various properties across various sites) which included liaising with third party landlords along with negotiating and drafting deeds of surrender, new leases, licences to assign, rent deposit deeds, deeds of variation and licences to charge;
- Carrying out due diligence on the acquisition of various pharmacies and advising on the bank’s security requirements within a tight deadline; and
- Facilitating the refinance of a client’s investment property within a tight deadline to enable them to avoid their existing mortgage rate increasing.
