With a legal career spanning four decades, Richard has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate, including residential and commercial property transactions. He advises clients on site acquisitions and development, property sales and purchases, leasehold structuring, and real estate finance.
Richard has worked on a range of property matters, from the acquisition and division of development sites to the sale of individual plots. He has handled transactions involving shopping centres, large commercial warehouses, agricultural land, and high-value residential properties. His expertise also includes structuring property transfers into and out of pension plans, as well as commercial property leasing.
Recent work highlights include the sale of a commercial retail park warehouse with complex environmental considerations, the transfer of a substantial mixed-use property portfolio into a newly formed company, and multiple site acquisitions leading to successful plot sales.
