Tamsin is a Partner in the Property Litigation team.

She acts for both commercial clients and private individuals on all matters relating to property litigation.

Supporting a wide range of commercial clients including investors, developers, landlords and tenants she advises on property disputes relating to dilapidations, lease renewals, break notices, forfeiture, defaulting tenants, rent arrears and eviction of squatters.

Tamsin supports high net worth private clients on disputes including lease extensions and enfranchisement, right to manage claims, rights of first refusal claims, forfeiture of long leases, and possession proceedings for assured shorthold tenancies. She also provides advice on easements, adverse possession and rights of way.

Tamsin has represented clients in the County and High Court as well as the Property Tribunal for a number of years.

Examples of how Tamsin has recently supported clients include:

  • Successfully negotiating the settlement of a dilapidations claim resulting in a reduced liability to the tenant;
  • Advising landowners as to rights of way over their land;
  • Representing a leaseholder in their application to the Tribunal to determine the terms of a lease extension which was appealed to the Upper Tribunal and successfully resisted; and
  • Assisting with a complex appointment of a s24 manager under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 which involved a number of applications to the Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and High Court.
