In addition, Tara also advises clients on issues of policy.  She regularly provides training, surgeries and legal updates to clients on best practice to support the upskilling of in-house teams.

Tara advises housing officers within regional and national registered providers across the UK

Recent examples of how Tara has supported clients include:

  • providing complex advice to a registered provider on granting excluded licences and the technical requirements a landlord needs to satisfy to grant such licences;
  • achieving a compromise to include the withdrawal of the summons on a private prosecution under s.82 Environmental Protection Act ahead of the first hearing; and
  • acted for a registered provider client in a possession case involving a Defendant with complex mental and physical equality act issues, working with the client, social services and the local council.
