Chester-based Knights has acted as legal advisor on a significant North West logistics deal, supporting pharmaceutical company Relonchem Limited in securing a new 77,000 sq ft warehouse in Knowsley as part of its continued growth.
John Loney, Real Estate Partner in Knights’ Chester office, led the deal, with assistance from Elin Davies, advising on the new lease and construction elements of the transaction.
The move will more than double Relonchem’s existing warehouse capacity, enabling the business to meet rising demand and strengthen its position in the UK market. The scale of the transaction makes it one of the largest logistics deals completed in the North West in the past six months.
The new facility at Knowsley 108 will provide space for up to 25,000 pallets and sees Relonchem join major occupiers, including Amazon and Home Bargains. Relonchem’s move into the high-spec space highlights the success and ambition of the business.
The new facility will help retain 30 jobs locally, create additional roles as the company expands, and underlines its long-term commitment to the Knowsley area. Thanks to its excellent transport links, Knowlsey is a prime destination for leading logistics and manufacturing businesses.
John Loney, Partner at Knights, said:
"We’re proud to have supported Relonchem on this landmark deal, which reflects both the strength of the North West logistics market and the ambition of a growing pharmaceutical business.
“Our team’s expertise in commercial property and construction ensured a smooth process, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this investment will have on the region."
Stephen Molyneux of Relonchem added:
"This new facility is a key milestone for Relonchem, giving us the space and flexibility to continue our growth. Knights provided invaluable support throughout the process, and their guidance was instrumental in securing this deal."
