Knights’ Corporate team has advised the shareholders of Cotswold Roller Hire Ltd, one of the UK’s largest suppliers of specialist compaction equipment, on its multi-million pound sale to Fox Group.

Cotswold Roller Hire Ltd (CRH) operates from eight regional depots across England and Wales.

As innovators in the field, CRH has earned a reputation for expertise and innovative new products - including the first working prototype of a zero-emission electric deadweight roller.

Neale Andrews led the Corporate team for Knights, with support from Jade Edgar, Emma Gargaro, Helen Holden, Alexandra Karrouze, Charlotte Lane, Lawrence Moran and Phillip Vallon.

Neale Andrews, Partner at Knights said:

“Cotswold Roller Hire Ltd is a well-known name in plant hire and has worked hard over generations to earn that reputation.

“It was a pleasure to work with the shareholders and management team to ensure that reputation translated into an agreement that works for all parties now and for the future.

“I am very grateful to the wider Knights team for their hard work in achieving a very successful result for our client.”

Neville Thomas, Managing Director at CRH said:

“This announcement is good news for the future of CRH. Our business achieved record results in 2021, thanks to the effort and commitment of all our employees.

“Becoming part of the Fox Group will allow us to build on that success. Over the coming years, there will be new opportunities to grow and develop the business.

“We’re very grateful to the team at Knights for supporting and guiding us throughout the process.

“They were diligent and dedicated in ensuring the sale was successfully concluded.”
