Technology consultancy Razor is set for the next stage of its growth after being acquired by Fulcrum IT Partners (“Fulcrum”).
Sheffield-based Razor is a market leader in harnessing the power of automation, VR, artificial intelligence, machine learning and focused design thinking to enhance businesses, experiences and capability.
Razor’s capabilities will begin to be integrated and delivered to Fulcrum’s global customer base which will enhance Fulcrum’s existing portfolio of solutions and bring actionable AI to their customers.
Fulcrum IT Partners is an IT consolidation across the UK, Canada, and the United States focused on verticalized solutions and using untapped data to drive business outcomes.
Razor, its shareholders and associated companies Reyt and Nimbitech, worked with a team from Knights on their acquisition; a full-scale advisory role with support from commercial, intellectual property, data protection, employment and tax specialists.
The team was led by Partner Ben Davis alongside Saskia Robinson with further support from Ellen Moran, Ben Travers, Kate Woolley, Fiona Moss, Sam Steckler, Aleesha Amjad and Katerina Antoniou.
Jamie Hinton, CEO of Razor, said:
“Joining forces with Fulcrum allows us to scale our innovative approaches to data and AI on a global platform.
“Our shared vision for a data-driven strategy and the global scale that Fulcrum has, will unlock new potentials in technology advancement and customer experience.
“After a recommendation to work with Ben from Knights, we weren’t disappointed. Highly knowledgeable, easy to work with; diligent, quick and professional."
Fulcrum, with Razor as part of its portfolio, will be launching a suite of informatic platforms for manufacturing, retail logistics, and healthcare – augmenting data with machine learning to bring insights to operational technology.
The acquisition of Razor will allow Fulcrum to work towards developing Private Generative AI-as-a-Service, enabling internal efficiencies and a differentiated access to customers whilst ensuring the privacy of corporate data.
Ben Davis, Partner at Knights, said:
“This is great news for Razor – offering global scale to their leading cutting-edge expertise. We’re looking forward to seeing their growth as part of Fulcrum.
“It was also an absolute pleasure to work with Jamie Hinton, Steve Trotter and the whole Razor team on what should be a fruitful incorporation into the Fulcrum group.”
