Knights’ Corporate team has supported emotive, a multi-award winning global healthcare communications company on its merger with Spink, a healthcare PR agency.

This strategic merger will see Spink’s expertise in PR and public affairs connect with emotive’s medical and brand offering, which focuses on driving advocacy and uptake of healthcare products and services. As part of emotive - and the wider Synaptiq Health group - Spink will offer its clients the advantages of scale, through emotive’s European and US networks.

Ben Davis led the project; a full-scale corporate instruction including heads of terms, due diligence support and drafting, negotiating and agreeing transaction documents. Along with the wider Knights team, including colleagues from Employment, Commercial, Property and Tax, Ben worked closely with both businesses to finalise the deal.

With a large team of professionals now spanning medical communications, brand and patient communications, PR and advocacy, emotive is set to amplify its clients’ communications, reaching more people than ever before to inspire change in healthcare.

Ben Davis, Associate at Knights said: “It’s always enjoyable working with everyone at emotive and it was a pleasure to advise them on their merger with Spink. The deal provides emotive with a boosted PR offering and Spink with access to emotive’s renowned medical and scientific expertise and resource.

With the two businesses complementing each other closely, a key element of this transaction surrounded the ongoing working arrangements. We worked carefully through these to reach agreements about the future of this brilliant new partnership.”
