Knights’ Corporate team has supported Malvern International Plc through a £1.7 million placing by the company.

Originally established in the 1980s and admitted to AIM in 2004, the global learning and skills development partner focuses on preparing students for success at university and in their professional lives.

The education provider has helped deliver high quality teaching and support to over 40,000 students in schools across London, Brighton and Manchester.

Proceeds of the fundraise will help ensure the business has the cash resources to trade through the continued difficulties caused by COVID-19 and to build on the very significant progress that it has made in many areas of its business since its June 2020 fundraise.

Richard Mace, CEO at Malvern International Plc, commented: “We approached Karen due to her extensive experience in acting for listed companies. The fundraise came at a crucial time for the business and Karen guided us through the process, at short notice, in a professional and efficient manner. We are all delighted with the result."

Karen Procter, Partner at Knights, commented: “The team here at Knights is delighted to have supported the Board of Malvern International plc through this important fundraise. The success of this fundraise demonstrates the increasing strength of Malvern’s proposition as an international learning and skills development partner and confidence in its future ambition and growth as we come out of the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to supporting Malvern in its continuing evolution throughout 2021 and beyond.”
