Michelle is an Associate in the Tax & Trusts and Wills & Estates Team.

With over 12 years’ qualified experience, Michelle deals with complex estates, and helps clients plan for lifetime events.  Her focus is on planning and protecting assets and income to help manage wealth for the future.

Her work includes wills and guardianship arrangements, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and court of protection work.  Michelle also deals with wills involving disabled beneficiaries ensuring that their interests are protected.

Michelle works closely with clients ensuring she has a complete understanding of the family circumstances to ensure that she is acting in their best interests.  Her role of legal advisor often sees her acting as referee between family members.

Her clients include wealthy individuals, business owners, elderly clients, and clients with mental capacity issues.

Recent examples of how Michelle has supported clients include:

  • obtained a grant de bonis non to finalise the administration of an estate that had been forgotten about for 20 years;
  • administered sizeable estates with assets over £1 million;
  • advised clients on inheritance tax planning and the lifetime tax planning options available to them; and
  • obtained a Court Order to appoint her client as Deputy on a contested Court of Protection application.
