Richard is a Partner in the Asset Management team.
He supports clients with letting, acquiring and disposing of commercial property as well as specialising in property finance matters. Richard acts for numerous clients in the property finance sector ranging from private banks to major high street lenders on secured lending transactions.
In addition, he has a specialist knowledge of the retail and leisure sectors. This includes acting on a number of leisure lettings and sales, disposals and acquisitions of hotels and garden centres, as well as refinancing of golf courses and horse racing yards.
His clients include independent occupiers of property, landlords, national chain retailers, restaurant groups, coffee chains and banks.
Recent examples of how Richard has supported clients include:
- advised a private bank on a £9 million financing of a freehold asset in London;
- supported a national coffee chain on their new UK expansion;
- acted for a national restaurant chain on their UK property portfolio; and
- advised a prominent Midlands hotel group on disposals and acquisitions.
