With over 30 years corporate banking experience from senior roles in some of the country’s most well-known banks, Tony offers specialist corporate advisory support. Having sat on bank credit committees he has first-hand knowledge of what banks are looking for and how to present the business case.
He supports both private and listed companies working with borrowers, lenders, private equity houses and other investors on all aspects of debt finance. His clients include entrepreneurs, equity owned businesses and large plcs operating in all sectors of the market.
With so many different forms of funding available from both traditional and challenger banks, all requiring a range of returns, navigating the funding landscape is becoming increasingly complex. Tony helps clients to navigate the funding landscape to secure the most appropriate form of funding for them taking into account their current and future requirements. He provides expert advice dealing with all aspects of the application, negotiation and structuring of the debt facilities. His focus is on securing the right deal for the client.
Recent examples of how Tony has supported clients include:
- managing a balance sheet of over £1 billion of facilities;
- negotiating and completing numerous CBILS and CLBILS facilities, supporting clients through the pandemic;
- securing a new to bank client in the specialist outdoor clothing sector, providing total facilities of circa £50 million; and
- securing a new facility of £6 million for a cash management business.
