Knights is proud to have supported the shareholders of Spinaclean Ltd on their recent sale to Swedish-headquartered Lifco AB.

Headquartered in Northampton, Spinaclean is a global leader in the design, assembly and distribution of bespoke high-reach vacuum, window and paving cleaning equipment. Since its establishment in 2002, it has experienced strong domestic and international growth with products now being distributed in over 26 countries.

The sale to Lifco AB represents a major step for the business in positioning itself to harness further growth. Its new owners will continue to support the business in building on the success achieved to date.

Knights’ early engagement enabled us to work seamlessly with both Spinaclean and Lifco AB’s other advisers. Working closely with Spinaclean, we were able to help prepare the business for sale which enabled us to complete the deal within four weeks.

Knights’ Corporate team was led by James Sparks and supported by Ian Lawton, Tanya Dobson and Martin Smith with additional support being provided by Jenny Colver on employment matters, Paul Cooper advising on the transaction tax matters, Ian Thomson providing commercial advice around contracts and IP matters; and Peter Rees assisting with real estate aspects.

James Sparks, Senior Associate at Knights, commented: “It’s been really satisfying to support the shareholders of Spinaclean with the sale to Lifco AB.  Our focus was on working consistently and commercially with all parties and advisors to ensure that the short timescales associated with the deal were achieved smoothly. Spinaclean is in a strong position to harness future growth”.

Andy Whiting, Managing Director at Spinaclean, said: "For most people the sale of a business is the biggest, once in a lifetime transaction undertaken in business. Appointing both Provantage and Knights to advise was a shrewd and very satisfying investment. The whole team took dedication and professionalism to a new level – brilliant job!”
