Three leading lawyers have joined Knights as the business continues its growth in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Private Wealth Partner Jon Gould and Real Estate Partner Matthew Miller bring a wealth of experience to Knights – and join a growing team alongside wills and estates specialist Natascha Grantham.

They are the latest in a flurry of new arrivals as Knights’ team in Newcastle get ready to move to a state-of-the-art new office at Bank House in Newcastle city centre.

Jon Gould has 20 years’ experience working alongside high net worth and business clients on a wide range of taxation and private client legal issues. Jon specialises in inheritance tax and succession planning, the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, the creation and administration of Trusts and administration of estates.

Matthew Miller has extensive experience in the acquisition, financing, development, letting and disposal of all types of commercial real estate. His expertise encompasses a range of asset classes including hospitality and leisure, office and student accommodation.

Their arrival coincides with the appointment of Senior Associate Natascha Grantham, who specialises in wills, trusts and estate planning for high net worth individuals, business owners, attorneys, executors and trustees.

Matthew Miller, Partner at Knights, said:

“I am delighted to be part of such a talented team and contribute to Knights’ growth in Newcastle. With the addition of more top talent and the recent announcement about our move to Bank House, it is an exciting time to be here.”

Jon Gould, Partner at Knights, said:

“I’m looking forward to getting started, Knights has exciting plans here in the North East and right across the country. It’s great to be part of it.”

The three new arrivals add to the comprehensive range of expertise Knights has to offer as the largest regional legal and professional services business in the UK.

Their appointments follow the arrival of EU and competition law specialist Partner Neil Warwick OBE and solicitor Ben McMurdo last month – a total of 11 new starters have joined Knights since the business arrived in Newcastle in the summer of 2023.

Lisa Shacklock, Client Services Director at Knights, said:

“Jon, Matthew and Natascha are brilliant additions to our team – with great reputations across the North East and the country. We’re gearing up for further growth in Newcastle this year and these great new arrivals will help us deliver on our plans.”

With 23 offices nationwide, Knights is ranked within the top 50 UK law firms by revenue – providing multiple services to business clients alongside premium advisory services to private individuals.
